All important announcements regarding the course are also done via smart LMS.<br /> <br /> Final grade for this course (rounded to nearest integer) is computed as: <br /> * 40% of fall semester grade<br /> * 60% of spring semester grade <br /> <br /> Fall semester grade (rounded to nearest integer) is computed as: <br /> <br /> * 15% average grade for autumn in-class quizzes (typically written at the start of each class), rounded to 1st decimal. If you miss a quiz for a verified reason recognized by your study office, it’s not counted towards average; otherwise it is counted as «0».<br /> * 15% average grade for autumn home assignments (5 or 6 HAs), rounded to 1st decimal. Home assignment submitted after deadline = «0», no matter the reason.<br /> * 25% autumn mid-term test. If missed for a verified reason, its weight can be transferred to final winter test.<br /> * 45% final winter test. Can be retaken twice. Second time = retake graded by commission.
